DME Music
Created to reflect change in the entertainment industry
We offer first-class composing, music supervision, audio production and music innovation in the broadcast media and film industries, and connect you with our awesome partners.
A little bit of history:
Founded in 1993 by Dawn Robinson, a talent agent and corporate level advertising executive at that time, Dark Moon transformed from its original vision of booking talent and producing live concerts into a management firm that identified and negotiated opportunities for its clientele, to a branding agency that produced custom, strategic business development and marketing solutions, partnership, licensing, sponsorship and endorsement acquisition, merchandising, and eventually television media projects and series as branding mechanisms for high-profile entertainment celebrities. That’s how we made our segue!
Initially trademarked and created as an international booking agency to develop and book bands in alternative, pop, rock, metal, punk, gothic, industrial and related genres, we successfully booked tours and productions in a variety of venues, nightclubs, theaters, universities, festivals, amphitheaters and stadiums, from Lamours to Limelight, Bar Sinister to Key Club, NYU to USC, Manhattan Center to Henry Fonda, Beverly Hilton to Jacob Javits, Staples Center to Madison Square Garden, from Coachella to Lollapalooza, Rock in Rio to Rock Am Ring, Warped Tour to Wacken
ranging in capacities and attendance from 500-150,000 throughout North America, Europe and abroad, supporting major and label acts alike.
Associated with talent agencies Creative Artist Agency and William Morris, and a long list of promoters that included Delsner Slater, Sam Levinstone, Charles Attal, Phantasy, SFX, NIPP – and later Clear Channel, Live Nation and AEG, and innumerous record labels that operated independently and under the Universal, Warner Bros and Sony umbrellas, Dark Moon developed countless artists and grew their fan base followings and market value enough to be considered and absorbed by the higher ups.
Over the years, Dark Moon Entertainment played an integral development role advancing a myriad of artists including Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, Green Day, No Doubt, My Chemical Romance, White Stripes, The Strokes, Dropkick Murphys, The Cult, Type O Negative and Motorhead.
(see our ‘past artists’ link for a more detailed list).
Dark Moon staff are known for going above and beyond the call of duty,
with a pull-up-our-sleeves and hustle-to-make-it-happen attitude with gratitude.
We lead the charge of a solution-based model.
Our handpicked teams are required to hold the same ideals and ethics.
As the years changed the face of the industry, so did Dark Moon.
Like the moon it reflects change; everything starts in the dark and it works covertly in the background, seamlessly –
almost three decades we continue to offer the best in media, music and entertainment.
Now, we serve as a parent company for divisions that produce Broadcast and Streaming Television series and media, Studio Film projects, brand marketing, music videos, brand partnerships and positioning, sponsorship and endorsement, in-content immersion opportunities, commercial advertising, publicity, talent ops and events.
